The Holland Heating & Cooling Plant project involved the replacement of an existing switchboard and the associated unit substation in the Holland Heating & Cooling Plant. The entire replacement project required a well planned and staged approach as much of the existing equipment needed to online during the replacement of the 5000A switchboard & roof top substation. A temporary switchboard was installed along with temporary power feeders for equipment. Once temporary power was in place the switchboard and substation were removed and replaced with new equipment. A new MV primary conductors to the substation were installed as well as secondary feeders from the substation to the 5000A switchboard. The project was completed without unscheduled disruption to equipment or campus activities.
